LIZA S.
Cognitive Science Major

Liza is a third year Cognitive Science major with a specialization in computing, who is originally from San Diego! Fun fact—though she grew up in SD, Liza is originally from Ukraine and speaks Russian fluently. She loves staying active and being outside, whether that be hiking, running, going to the beach, or finding new coffee shops. She has also been coaching field hockey to middle and high school athletes for the past two years, which has been more of a hobby than a job! Via her sorority on campus, Liza has been able to partake in tutoring K-6 students from underserved neighborhoods. Liza loves tutoring because she loves working and connecting with kids in order to help them reach their academic goals. It is very rewarding to see a child succeed and grow from the time spent working with them. We would describe Liza as responsible, involved and positive.
