Karina is a second-year student majoring in Neuroscience and is originally from Orange County, CA. On campus, she is in a sorority, an opinion writer for the Daily Bruin newspaper, participates in research at Maidment behavior lab, interns for the ALD lab at Cedars-Sinai, and volunteers at Ronald Reagan hospital as a Care Extender. In her free time she loves to be active through hot yoga, running, swimming and cycling. She also is an avid cook, reader, and enjoys going to the beach. Karina’s teaching philosophy is to inspire confidence about material and get her students excited to learn. She has always found education to be one of the most important things for personal growth.
